私はここ3日間以上、家に帰らず仕事をしていました。

そして今日、自分のアパートに戻ると、とても涼しいことに気が付きました。

Yes, the air conditioner was on for three days…

エアコンがつけっぱなしだったのです。

I was full of grief.

とても切ない気分になりました。

What you do not need or useless things like this situation is referred to as ‘muda‘ (無駄) in Japanese.

このように無益なことや役に立たないことを、日本語で「無駄」と言います。
