そのような人のことを、日本語で「みみっちい」と形容することがあります。
みみ (mimi) is short for ミミズ (mimizu), which means “earthworm,” and っちい (cchii) means that it looks like something.
「みみ」は昆虫の「ミミズ」を省略したもので、「っちい」は「〜のようだ」ということを意味します。
That is to say, this term implies that someone has thin and small personality like a earthworm.
すなわちこの言葉は、「ミミズのように細く小さい人間だ」ということを言っているわけです。
